 Hello, I'm Taryn Bell, and it’s my privilege to introduce you to Because We Care. Since 2002, our mission has been to provide solace, beauty, and compassion for those facing life’s challenges during and after cancer.

Our Origin Story
Our journey began with a deeply personal experience. After years as a flight attendant, I made the life-changing decision to focus on my family, leaving behind my career to be a full-time mom of two. It was during this time that a dear friend, just 21 years old, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her bravery and struggles had a profound impact on me. She longed for a space that embraced femininity and comfort, a place where she could feel beautiful despite the challenges of cancer treatment. That vision became the foundation for Because We Care.

Driven by Empathy
My passion for creating this sanctuary grew stronger after walking alongside both my mother and grandmother as they faced their own battles with lung cancer. I saw firsthand the emotional toll cancer takes—not just on patients but on their families too. That empathy shaped the heart and soul of Because We Care. Our name embodies our mission: to provide not only practical support but also emotional care and understanding through every step of your journey.
